ANSWER: True. All of the stories, poems, and adages in Slaying Dragons was written by Richelle E. Goodrich. It took two years of jotting down thoughts as they came to the author and lessons learned during her personal life trials.
2. To which of the author's sons is this book dedicated?
ANSWER: Slaying Dragons is dedicated to the author's middle son, Alexander. It was a graduation gift for him. He graduated from high school and from a local community college simultaneously in 2017.
3. Why does the cover feature a young man in knight's armor with a dragon peering over his shoulder?
ANSWER: The author's middle son loves dragons. He learned to paint dragons by spending many hours with his artistically talented grandmother during summer breaks. She taught him how to paint, and helped him paint a new dragon scene for seven summers in a row. He entered these paintings in the local county fair and earned a handful of ribbons for them, including "People's Choice," "Best of Show," "Best of Section," and multiple first place ribbons.

ANSWER: The author chose Slaying Dragons as the title for this book as a tribute to her son for his hard work and dedication in painting a new dragon picture every summer under his grandmother's instruction. An admirer of his artwork offered to buy three of his paintings, but his mother quickly jumped in and paid her son for the paintings so she could keep them.
