Here is what I'm working on now...
Yes, new writing projects are in the works!
This is where to stay up-to-date on progress with Richelle's new manuscripts, cover designs, audiobooks, etc. There is always something more to do in a writer's busy life! Presently, Richelle is editing and revamping the final draft of a new paranormal adventure story. The title for this book is Phantom's Veil: A Search for Spells. The cover art is complete for paperback, hardcover, and e-book versions. All of the work needed to create a finished book takes time, so progress is charted here on line graphs for you to see. Feel free to stop by periodically for updates.

SUMMARY: For most of us there is a poignant moment in life when we come to realize we are not alone. And I’m not referring to the billions of people with flesh-and-blood bodies surrounding us. No. What I mean are those numberless spirits who exist within our reach yet beyond our sight, kept secret by a blinding veil. Many believe such spirits are like angels watching over us, watching out for us. But perhaps the case is they are merely just watching. Buried in the darkest depths of a Maya temple rest secrets known only to sacerdotal phantom's that ages ago passed from the realm of mortality. No human was meant to discover these secrets. Gwen and Daniel would happily let dead powers stay hidden if only a coercing phantom would keep to the afterlife and leave Gwen alone. Why is he harassing her anyway? What talent does she possess that a dead priest seems desperate to utilize?

My steps for writing a book:
Step One
Dream up a complete story and make detailed notes. I want to be satisfied with the characters, their motivations, and how the story winds up.
Step Two
Write a first draft from beginning to end. I often write the final chapter and then work from chapter one to reach the already-determined end.
Step Three
Read through the story and note where to make changes. Rewrites here constitute my second draft.
Step Four
Read through the story and note where to make changes. Rewrites here constitute my third draft.
Step Five
Send manuscript to beta readers. While they read the story and make notes, I do the same and create a fourth draft.
Step Six
Ceate ideas for a book cover. Narrow them down to a few possible designs. Ask for opinions.
Step Seven
Examine the notes from beta readers and make appropriate changes to my manuscript. This constitutes a fifth draft.
Step Eight
Complete a thorough edit on the manuscript with spellcheck and grammar editing software. This constitutes a sixth draft.
Step Nine
Create book cover. Modify my art and combine with AI generated art on Photoshop to create a book cover. Use shadow, highlight, layers and font tools.
Step Ten
Resize the final cover design for three individual covers, one for kindle, one for paperback, and one for hardcover.
Step Eleven
Upload manuscript and cover to online book-publishing site(s) and approve the final draft.
Step Twelve
Create an audible version of the book and upload it as a purchase option. Now, the promotional work begins.
