Richelle E. Goodrich, the author, created the cover art for Being Bold. She first sketched out a likeness of her son in a theatrical mask and cape, then outlined the drawing in black pen, and finally scanned the image into Photoshop where she colored and shaded the picture.

True. Some popular U.S. holidays have original quotes or poems that celebrate the day. Some included are Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Veteran's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The author chose "Being Bold" as the title for this book as a tribute to the courage and boldness her son demonstrated so many times during tryouts for choirs, plays, and musicals as well as during his many performances and competitions. Singing and acting in front of an audience is no act of cowardice but a feat of the boldest kind.
